The Robert Limbert Visitor Center will be closed until January 26, 2024.

While the park is still open 24 hours, the Loop Road is closed to vehicles for the reason and open to hiking and biking only. Most trails remain open, but snow and ice may create hazardous conditions at any time. Pets are welcome during this time on the road until grooming operations begin. They are still not permitted on trails and must be leashed at all times. Always pick up after your pet! Park conditions can be viewed on the nps website: https://www.nps.gov/crmo/planyourvisit/conditions.htm

The Lava Flow campground is open to walk-in tent camping only for the winter by permit. Permits are free and must be obtained ahead of time by contacting the park at (208) 527-1335 or crmo_information@nps.gov Car or RV camping is not permitted at the visitor center.

All caves are closed for the season and are typically open early summer through late fall. No cave permits will be issued at time.

Thank you for another great year and we hope to see you in 2024! Stay tuned for more information about our upcoming Centennial celebration #PhasesoftheMoon
